SCIENCE CARNIVAL CALLER

Make phone calls to local businesses/industries and agencies to request presenters. Many businesses will be glad to do this. It's fun. It's exposure for their company, and it will promote their kind of science in the community. Tell them that the media will be there so they can show off their contribution to the Science Carnival.

• Utilities- PGE, Water Co.
• Medical- Hospitals, doctors, nurses, lab techs, nutritionists, dentists, vets
• American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, etc.
• Parks and Recreation Dept.- rangers
• Museums (ex. Lindsay Museum)
• 4-H club - petting zoo
• USGS-rock samples, seismometers,etc.
• Industries like Clorox Corp., Xerox, IBM that employ technical people
• Laboratories (check the yellow pages)
• High schools, colleges, and universities
• County Agricultural Department

Contact local newspapers, television, and radiostations for coverage of the event.
