ROY G. BIV       Jeffrey Hale ©1999

All of the colors make visible light

they're part of a spectrum that sure do shine.

Some will absorb, some will reflect,

and if they bend we say they refract.

chorus:

Roy G. Biv is a friend of mine

without Biv's light, we'd all be blind

The colors of the rainbow are plain to see

when I look at you and you look at me.

Red is the first color in his name.

The color red has a longer wave.

O stands for orange it's next to red,

then comes yellow that's what I said.

 repeat chorus:

Green is the color that reflects off trees

that reach for the blue sky swaying in the breeze.

A snake called indigo is very dark blue.

in the evening hours, the sky's that color too.

V's the last letter in Biv's  name.

Violet is the color with the shortest wave.

All the colors make visible light.

they're part of a spectrum that sure do shine.

 repeat chorus:

Red.. Orange.. Yellow.. Green

Blue.. Indigo.. Violet..,It's a scream (x2)

That's all the colors of visible light

their part of a spectrum that sure do shine

Some will absorb some will reflect

and if they bend we say they refract

 repeat chorus:
